Sandra is a writer and filmmaker, based in London, England. She holds an MA with Distinction in Film Studies from UCL, attended Prague Film School, and has also received a BA (Hons) in German and Russian from Oxford University. She has worked in production and script development with BAFTA award-winning producers, but these days spends most of the time scribbling and crossing out, typing or staring at the ominous expanse of a blank page. She writes and translates screenplays, short stories, novels, and even some non-fiction. She is also a founding member of the Ephemeral Cities Research Group where she blogs about cities, films, and visual culture.
In June 2016 her comedy feature 'Electric City' reached the quarter-final of the Screencraft Comedy Screenplay Competition. In late 2015 her short screenplay 'Twilight on Charles Bridge' reached the semi-final of the Shore Scripts Screenwriting Contest. Sandra was also a Screencraft Short Screenplay Contest Semi-Finalist in July 2015. Her short film 'Curls' was awarded a commendation at the Cambridge Cinema Shorts Short Film Festival, 2015.
